Our Founding Story
Red Balloon Publishing was established in 2019 by four long-standing friends who share a vision to create a safe and dynamic platform for exploring faith-inspired theological ideas. Our mission is to promote, publish, and disseminate these ideas—aiming to challenge traditional mindsets through engaging and accessible content. We therefore invite contributions from all people who wish to advance Christian thought.
Our Philosophy
At Red Balloon we embrace a general philosophy grounded in three principles:
- Inclusive Mystical Union
We believe that spirituality is not confined to specific groups or existing believers, but is a universal experience accessible to all. Our understanding is that humanity, and indeed creation, is one mystical entity that lives in the sustaining presence of God—the divine consciousness. - Faith Community
We hold that faith insights are best gained through communal interaction, rather than rigid adherence to doctrine or hierarchy. We therefore advocate the mutual respect and valuing of other perspectives, fostering an environment where communal discourse thrives without the constraints of formal codes or cultures. - Universal Transformation
We suggest that divine revelation inspires individuals, whilst simultaneously benefiting the rest of humanity and planet. Consequently, we further suggest that no life experiences are irrelevant topics for discussion, since authentic spiritual awareness transforms our thinking on all matters.
